Part of Prism's 'Dream' for On3 (former Roche site) Revealed to Nutley Commissioners

NUTLEY, NJ - Eugene R. Diaz, of Prism Capital Partners, shared the dream of the On3 redevelopment project with the Nutley Board of Commissioners at a special Thursday night meeting at Nutley town hall. The presentation included updates on occupancy of existing buildings as well as plans for other parts of the campus.
References to "the dream" were made throughout the presentation as the plans are not finalized and require approval from local municipalities as well as state entities. The dream includes building a campus that reflects "urban vitality and suburban flexibility" according to Diaz.
Some of the changes that have already taken place are the renaming of streets within the campus. The former 'First Avenue' is now called Metro Boulevard and Fifth Avenue is now Ideation Way. Diaz told the board of commissioners about potential clients for the site, describing them simply as "Fortune 500 company," without sharing specific detail regarding the exact identity.
Among the plans, which have been discussed with New Jersey transit, are changes to the intersection of Kingsland Street and Bloomfield Avenue to reduce traffic delays. Diaz also addressed the area where the former Fifth Avenue meets Kingsland Street 'at the bend.' A plan was also discussed how to make that intersection safer and more fluid.
The meeting in the conference room with Prism, which was attended by all five Nutley commissioners, ran for about an 90 minutes starting at 7:00 p.m. The regular board of commissioners meeting took place afterward in chambers and ended at approximately 11:10 p.m.
